Finding discounts on International car rentals can be extremely difficult; normally your
regular car rental discount codes and rental car coupon codes that can be found all over the web, are only valid in the US or in North America.
I made up a set of dates for a week's rental at BRU in March, and checked travelocity.com, hotwire.com, priceline.com, sixtcarrental.com, avis.com, budget.com, hertz.com, holidayautos.com, arguscarhire.com, alamo.com and orbitz.com for the smallest, cheapest car available. I purposely chose 2 car rental brokers, 4 comparison booking sites, and 7 direct car rental company sites in order to get a good variety.
Out of all the websites that I checked, Kemwel and Auto Europe.com (opens in a new window) were both about 30% cheaper than the rest.
Kemwel.com and AutoEurope.com are both examples of car rental brokers (they are independant agents who book cars for the major car rental companies, (like Avis, europcar, Budget, Hertz, etc).
One reason that they may be less expensive, is that you do have to prepay your reservation in advance and you will receive a voucher to present at the car rental company (which you won't know until you receive the voucher) at the time of pickup. So, while I was not able to find a Belgium car hire discount (like codes or coupons), you should be able to save by doing a prepaid reservation.
Both Kemwel and AutoEurope provide 2 rate opitons:
- Basic rates include unlimited mileage, mandatory public liability insurance, fire insurance, and the value added tax.
- Inclusive rates include unlimited mileage, mandatory public liability insurance, fire insurance, optional collision damage waiver insurance (CDW), optional theft insurance, and the value added tax. Rates do not include the Eco Surcharge which is paid at time of pick up.
Both also offer a price match guarantee... which states they will meet and beat any major USA based car rental company competitors price.
