How can I rent a car in Algarve to go to Morocco and back?
My Response:
I look to the driving guides on AutoEurope.com. The majority of my first hand car rental knowledge is limited to North America, so I find this site very useful when looking at overseas guidelines and rental restrictions.
I researched information about the ability (or not) to rent a car in Portugal to travel into Morocco.
According the Auto Europe driving guides for Portugal
"Cars rented in Portugal are not allowed into the following countries: Albania, Bosnia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, Ukraine and Yugoslavia. Luxury cars are not allowed into Italy. No cars may go onto the African continent. "
As no cars may go into the African Continent, as I understand this statement, it would restrict any car rental from being allowed to travel to Morocco, as Morocco is a country located in North Africa.
